The GPhC temporary register to close on 30th September 2022

The GPhC temporary register was set up to allow certain pharmacy professionals (pharmacist and pharmacy technicians) to be registered quickly to aid in the national response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The temporary register included pharmacy professionals who had voluntarily removed themselves or were removed for non-renewal from the register in the last three years but did not have a Fitness to Practice issues.

As the stresses of the pandemic seem to be easing, the GPhC pharmacy professions’ temporary register will be closing on 30th September 2022.

Any pharmacists and pharmacy technicians on the temporary register can continue to practice until the register closes, but these individuals may consider applying to re-join the main GPhC register if they wish to continue practicing beyond September 2022.
