The unbelievably easy way to lock in your patients

Over the last two years, we have seen our patients look to find new digital ways of managing their repeat prescriptions during the pandemic. Patients seek more convenient and accessible ways to manage their prescriptions from digital apps, websites, and online pharmacies. Responses to COVID-19 saw the adoption of digital sped up by several years, and these habits will remain.

A study conducted by Google looked into consumer habits during the lockdown and found that people’s motivation to stay local thrived during this period. A want to keep things local strengthened, and statistics pointed towards a sustained interest in supporting and using more local businesses.

Numark’s response to the changes this brought to our industry was the acquisition of Co-op Health. Rebranded and launched in July 2021, Hey Pharmacist combines the convenience of digital with trusted face-to-face care and advice in the community.  

Since we launched in July, we’ve been talking about all the big features that we’re working on to make Hey Pharmacist work for you; our army of members. January will see the first of these features delivered with Store Activation.

What is store activation?

Store activation is a feature on the Hey Pharmacist app that allows you to engage your customers with the new service and lock them into your pharmacy. Through a simple scan of a QR code, you can quickly introduce new and existing customers to a more convenient way of ordering, managing and collecting their prescriptions from your pharmacy.

Following a successful trial across several Rowlands stores, we’re now ready to provide this feature to our members and their patients.

How does it work? 

Engage your customers with the materials provided in your store activation packs.

Your customers then need to:

  1. Scan the QR code
  2. Download the app
  3. Enter your unique pharmacy number and connects to your store
  4. Register using NHS login
  5. Connect to the service

Once your patient has connected to Hey Pharmacist and is ready to place an order, only your pharmacy will appear at the checkout.

Where do I sign up? 

Store activation packs will start to land in stores from the middle of January. These packs will give you all the tools you need to get started on activating and acquiring customers. Your Numark Account Managers will be on hand to support you and will be in touch from February.

Store activation is the first of many features we’ll be launching in 2022, and we’re excited to share this product and its journey with you.
