New Arrangement for Distribution of LFDs for Asymptomatic Staff Testing
The process for obtaining lateral flow devices (LFDs) for self-testing of pharmacy staff is changing. Previously they were ordered by the pharmacy from the Primary Care Support England (PCSE) portal.
From 5th July 2021, individual pharmacy staff members will need to order their own LFDs from https://www.gov.uk/order-coronavirus-rapid-lateral-flow-tests. When ordering the tests online pharmacy staff must input their workplace postcode to ensure that they are registered to a healthcare worker. A box of seven tests will be posted to the staff member at their home address. Staff should continue to report the results of their tests on the NHS Digital gov.uk reporting tool, as per current practice.
