As the coronavirus pandemic continues into 2021, there is now an expectancy from your customers and staff alike that you keep face to face interactions restricted to only essential tasks and maintain social distancing where possible.

This is where the digital technology offered through the Medicines Manager function in Pharmacy Access can help, as it offers a secure way for your pharmacy to use ProScript Connect to send electronic repeat prescription requests to EMIS Web GP surgeries. This negates the need for staff to physically drop the prescriptions off. Patients can collect their repeat prescriptions from a pharmacy without visiting their GP , eliminating the need for a paper prescription.

This, combined with other efficiencies offered by Medicines Manager, serve to free up time for your staff to concentrate their resources elsewhere.

FOR CURRENT NUMARK ASSIST USERS THIS FEATURE IS AVAILABLE AT NO ADDITIONAL COST

GP Record Viewer

As well as Medicines Manager, Pharmacy Access offers a GP Record Viewer that will give your pharmacy access to a secure read-only view of your patient’s limited health record. With access to this vital information at the point of care, you are able to make more informed decisions during the dispensing process and it allows you to have a better understanding of any potential risks – consequently improving patient safety.

Secure - Information can only be shared once a sharing agreement is in place and patients have provided documented consent ensuring all parties understand who has access to the information. Access to your patient’s records is governed by strong, role-based controls enforced by NHS Smartcards.
