Urgent Action - Northern Ireland members

  • Northern Ireland

Members in Northern Ireland are advised that if they source goods from Great Britain, you will need to register with the Trader Support Service and apply for an EORI number by 23rd November 2020.

An EORI [Economic Operators Registration and Identification] number is assigned to firms that move goods internationally, allowing customs authorities to identify them.

From 1 January 2021, firms trading between GB and NI will need an EORI beginning with XI for EU facing systems such as CDS as well as their GB EORI number for UK facing systems such as ICS.

If you have not signed up with Trader Support Service, please do this now.

Sign up with Trade Support Service (via GOV)

If you are already signed up with trader support service, Please go to https://www.tradersupportservice.co.uk/tss, log in and enter your GB EORI number before 23 November to ensure you are auto-enrolled for an XI EORI.After this date you will not be auto-enrolled for an XI EORI and will need to request one manually.
