Pharmacy contractors are reminded that the deadline for updating or validating their profiles on the NHS website and NHS111 Directory of Services (DoS) is before 11.59pm on November 30th 2019 to enable them to claim for payments within the Pharmacy Quality Scheme (PQS).
The profile on the NHS website (NHS.UK) must be up to date to meet the gateway criteria. Three sections need to be updated or validated: opening hours (including bank holidays), facilities and services.
Numark advises that even if you have reviewed the profile and know it is up to date, it is still vital to validate this information to confirm that you have checked it before the 30th November 2019 deadline.
The NHSBSA produces a weekly updated dataset every Friday that will show if you have met this criterion (along with two other of the gateway criteria).
The profile on NHS111 DoS must be updated to meet a criterion in the Digital Enablers quality domain. You need to ensure the information about the pharmacy is accurate for referrals through NHS111 providers and update the opening hours for public and bank holidays between Christmas 2019 and Spring Bank Holiday 2020.
Once the details have been submitted an email will be sent to your NHSmail account confirming this, which should be kept as confirmation.
This is only one of the two quality criteria for the Digital Enablers domain and both need to be met to claim payment for this domain.
