Medicines Safety Tip: Braltus (tiotropium): risk of inhalation of the capsule.

A recent Drug safety Update is encouraging pharmacists to train patients in the use of their Zonda inhaler following two reports of patients who have inhaled a Braltus capsule from the inhaler mouthpiece into the back of the throat, resulting in coughing and risking aspiration or airway obstruction.
