The Service Desk at EMIS Health Community Pharmacy is currently experiencing an influx of calls relating to connectivity issues with the Electronic Prescription Service. While this issue is being investigated we urge customers not to contact the Service Desk for EPS related issues.

NHS Digital have reported that this has been caused by DNS issues within the BT infrastructure.

UPDATE at 15:55 20.09.71

Users should no longer be experiencing issues in connectivity with the Electronic Prescription Service. NHS Digital have reported that the DNS issues experienced earlier today within the BT infrastructure have now been resolved.

As a result of this outage, a number of ETP scripts remain in a ‘Release Rejection’ status temporarily. EHCP are presently arranging a replay of all affected scripts and will advise users once these replays are completed.

We urge users to refrain from calling the Service Desk in relation to ETP scripts in a ‘Release Rejection’ status until this time.

A further update will be provided at the earliest opportunity.
