Period Delay Service

For most women, a period is a regular monthly occurrence, which occasionally may coincide with a very important event such as exams, music festivals, holidays, or a wedding and customers may require their period to be postponed temporarily until a more convenient time.

This new private service allows your female customers convenient access to a prescription only treatment to temporarily delay their period.  This service will be offered via a Patient Group Direction (PGD) which requires the customer to have a consultation with a PGD authorised pharmacist.

Community pharmacy is ideally placed to improve the accessibility of such treatments to eligible customers at a time when it is increasingly difficult to obtain an appointment with a GP.
