The below explains what individuals, such as locums need to do if they have not yet taken steps to become a Dementia Friend.

 Individuals can register as a Dementia Friend through the organisation route. 

• If the pharmacy is already registered on the Dementia Friends website, ask to use their unique code and then follow the steps detailed in the ‘Organisations becoming Dementia Friends’ excluding the Register your organisation step.

• Register as an organisation by using your name and the words ‘Pharmacy Locum’ for example ‘John Smith Pharmacy Locum’.

The alternative step is to attend a face to face Dementia Friends Information Session which your LPC or your local CPPE Regional Tutor may be holding. Consider making contact with either of these organisations if you would like to attend a face to face session.
