Community Pharmacy contractors can express their interest in providing Phase 3 of the COVID-19 vaccination programme from September.
The JCVI has released advice (see below) that suggests COVID-19 booster vaccines should be offered in two stages from September 2021, starting with those most at risk from serious disease, and they should be offered the seasonal flu vaccine alongside the third COVID-19 booster vaccine.
The service specification for phase 3 will allow low capacity sites (100 vaccinations per week) to be able express an interest in addition to the previous medium volume (350 vaccinations per week) and large volume (1000 vaccinations per week) sites.
Any contractors wishing to express an interest in providing phase 3 of the COVID-19 vaccination programme must express their interest by 5pm on Wednesday 28th July 2021. Those contractors who were already providing the COVID-19 vaccination service for phases 1 and 2 are also required to submit an expression of interest form for phase 3.
