Provide Simple Aids to Daily Living as part of Transforming Community Equipment Services.
Simple Aids to Daily Living (SADL) are items that can help to maintain a person's independence, such as grab rails and eating and drinking utensils.
These items have traditionally been owned by local authorities and loaned to users. However, this scheme allows users to choose their own items from a range of new products and obtain them free of charge using a prescription.
Community pharmacies are able to support patients by providing SADLs.
