We know that as independent pharmacists many of you have been offering repeat prescription services to your patients for some time. To help you get this message to consumers Numark launched 'Repeat My Medicines'.
Our aim with Repeat My Medicines is to make the public aware that this is a service offered by independent pharmacy.
By creating a recognisable brand through Repeat My Medicines we can advertise directly to consumers and signpost patients to your pharmacy through the Numark Pharmacists public website.
All Numark members in England and Wales were provided a free window poster and SOP for the service in May 2010.
Members in Scotland and Northern Ireland can obtain the free poster and SOP on request - please call 0800 783 5709 or contact us.

How do I start?
1. You must be accredited to provide a Repeat Dispensing service. The CPPE website has more information about Repeat Dispensing accreditation.
2. Talk to your local GPs:
Tell them you intend to start a Repeat Dispensing service.
Ask how changes in medication or any issues will be communicated.
3. Download and print the Repeat my Medicines SOP.
4. Identify where you will store patient's repeat prescriptions:
They must be stored in a safe and secure place.
You must make sure records provide a clear audit trail.
5. Order posters, leaflets and patient sign up forms via online ordering with Tolputt Keeton.
6. Encourage your counter staff to talk to suitable customers and recommend the service.
7. Update your details on NumarkNet - we can signpost patients to your pharmacy through the Numark Pharmacists website.
