Work out your average number of scripts per month and how many patients you will need to perform NMS with to achieve your target payments - you can find the information you need to do this on page 4 of the Latest Service Development document or use our simple NMS calculator which allow you to do this automatically.
Complete the self-assessment form and ensure you meet all the requirements for the implementation payment.
Talk to your team and ensure they are all aware this service is coming.
Put together a plan for how you will incorporate NMS into your daily schedule, we think that in order to hit the maximum target payment the average pharmacy (around 6000 scripts per month) would need to see at least one NMS patient per day. Look at what you do on a daily basis and see what it is you can either stop doing or delegate to someone else to free up your time. Talk to us about how we can help with training on workflow and delegation skills.
Engage with your GPs now. GP referral and support will be key to identifying patients.
