Contractors are now paid a variable fee for each individual NMS episode completed.
The minimum fee is £20 which will be paid for each episode that falls below the 20% target threshold. Once the 20% target threshold is achieved, all NMS interventions will be paid at £25 each. There is then an increasing scale of fees as each target threshold is reached, up to a maximum of £28 per intervention. In addition, the maximum number of episodes that a pharmacy can complete has been increased.

When calculating your monthly prescription volume, note that certain items where multiple fees are paid, e.g. FP10MDA items, ACBS flavoured food items and combination packs, only count as one item when assessing the NMS volume.
