With the changes to the contractual framework implemented in October 2011, pharmacists now have reporting requirements for both these advanced services.
In addition to the reporting requirements for NMS a number of new requirements for MUR data collection were implemented in order to demonstrate to government the value of the MUR service and the benefits to patients.
Pharmacists must collate the necessary data for consultations conducted in each quarter and then complete the nationally agreed reporting template which is to be provided to the PCT upon request.
The reports must be available to the PCT from ten working days after the last day of each quarter.
Deadlines for 2012
The reporting deadlines for each quarter of 2012 are:
- 1st April to 30th June 2012 = 13th July 2012
- 1st July to 30th September = 14th October 2012
- 1st October to 31st December 2012 = 15th January 2013
Templates
The PSNC has developed an Excel spreadsheet which allows the collation of data from every MUR conducted. A word document is also available to allow the data to be captured and recorded on paper rather than electronically.

ProScript/Numark Assist users
Users of ProScript (Numark Assist) should note that the MUR and NMS modules will capture and populate the data on the nationally agreed template required for PCT submission.
