Nomination is an opportunity for you to retain business and strengthen your relationship with patients.
Patients can choose to nominate up to three dispensing contractors, including:
- One community pharmacy
- One dispensing appliance contractor
- One dispensing GP practice (only eligible patients will be able to have the practice dispensary as a third option)
Nomination is flexible - patients can set, change or remove their nomination at any EPS Release 2 enabled dispensing contractor or GP Practice.
Sites that go live with EPS Release 2 will be provided with an 'EPS Available Here' sign with a specific logo common to all EPS literature and communications.
Patients will still have the option to take an EPS Release 1 barcoded FP10 paper prescription and not use the nomination process, they will need to make this clear to the prescriber.
