Pharmacies are expected to attain level 2 against each of the pharmacy information governance requirements by 31st March 2012.
The Department of Health has confirmed that pharmacies are exempted from completing information governance requirement 9-319 (business continuity planning) in 2011/12 whilst discussions continue between PSNC and the Department of Health on business continuity planning.
There are therefore no significant changes to the IG requirements this year.
Also a reminder that the IG helpdesk number has changed.
