Advice on needle caps for Clexane 40mg/0.4ml

Sanofi-Aventis have advised MHRA that some needle caps on one particular batch of Clexane 40,g/0.4ml prefilled syringes may be more difficult to remove than normal.

There is no recall on the batch; the contents of the syringe are not affected and they can still be used, however, patients should be warned to be extra vigilant when preparing syringes for injection.
