Mimi Lau has been a pharmacist for 17 years, after qualifying in 1993 from Robert Gordon University in Aberdeen.
After completing her pre-registration year with a small independent pharmacy she joined Lloyd's pharmacy where she held various branch management positions before becoming an area manager responsible for 33 pharmacies in the North West with a turnover in excess of £30M.
She later joined Rowlands pharmacy as an area manager at a time when the company was extensively acquiring pharmacies. It was through this position that she got to learn about the Numark organisation as a result of Rowlands strong involvement.
Since joining Numark in 2003 as Professional Services Manager, she has progressed within the company to the position of Director of Pharmacy Services. She is responsible for leading three teams (service development, learning and development and information services) to support the expanding needs of the Numark membership.
Mimi is married with two children and lives in Leicestershire.
